Le Bistrot Gourmand

It is a delightful restaurant that looks down to the Golfe. The menu is explained to you personally by reading each offering one item at a time, to you. All items I've had have been excellently and tastefully prepared. Come by 8pm reservation or you will wait as all tables are reserved. I have eaten there 3 times for dinner and not once disappointed. We went here for lunch, twice, it was extraordinary! Small menu of four main starters, courses and desserts. I had a octopus salad as starter and a variety of mixed seafood and the fish filet as main course. It was delicious!!! The staff was so sympathetically and welcoming it was a total pleasure!

All dishes are very good, staffs are experienced with warm welcome. Best restaurants experience for this Ajaccio trip and would come back again.

Beautiful food and service! The friendly chef explained the menu to us, and we both enjoyed a set menu of grilled octopus entrees and then fish and beef as our mains. Everything was cooked to perfection - tender, fragrant, and perfectly seasoned! Service was also very quick which we appreciated! The only downside was the man next to us who smoked 4 cigarettes in the one hour we were there that we decided to leave without having dessert as the smell was becoming too much.

Wonderful coleslaw with shrimps and cuttlefish and the terrine of porc and foie gras made it for an amazing start! Very tasty dishes of porc with chestnut honey sauce and fish with a sauce which I couldn’t put a name on it but was absolutely delicious! Not to mention that if you take the first table on exterier terace you get to have a dinner with a view to the sea while also observing real life of locals having evening drinks at the bar next door! Overall great experience!!

Lovely location with delicious local dishes and generous portions. The staff were welcoming and understanding and gave us a good wine recommendation at a reasonable prize. A real find!

We went there for lunch with the family and were very pleasantly surprised by the amazing food. Took the full menu with starter, main dish and desert and all 3 plates were of very good quality. Worth trying out.

We had an amazing dinner at Le Bistrot Gourmand during our vacation in Corse. Very artisan and friendly. Food was delicious and the service very attentive and impeccable. The kelner explained about every dish and the choice of food and wine was quite wide. Very reasonable priced also! Artisan French home cooked meal! One of the favourite places in Ajaccio. Highly recommended. Thank you!
